This building is the so called "White House" Nowadays it's a museum about the the Dutch health care through the years.

During the war it was shot several times.

Inside there is still a hole in the wall. It's covered with glass with a plaque behind it that reminds of the Airborne in Oct. 1944.

Chris Anderson (middle) and Cas Janssen (r) together with Robert Bowen. Chris is an American journalist and publisher of a war magazine. He published Robert Bowen's book.(see cover above right) Cas is an expert concerning the Airborne and more specific the fighting in the area of the Lower Rhine in a region called "de Betuwe". For about 20 years his house is open for American war veterans who visit The Netherlands. In that way, he says, he pays them back for what they did for us.
