Back in Normandy to commemorate D-Day

Afternoon, June 6, 2004. In Carentan there was a march-past. Afterwards wreaths were layed by the Mayor and some veterans near the 101 Airborne Monument next to the railway station .

Because of miscommunication Frank Maio had not received his medal at that moment. The major was a little embarrassed and decided to invite Frank, Clancy and the others at his private room in the town hall to make it a kind of private party, just for the happy few.
