Irene Moor Malarkey, beloved wife of Don Malarkey, has passed away on April 11, 2006.
Irene was born in Portland, Oregon on December 30, 1926.
Irene was married to Donald G. Malarkey on June 19, 1948. They had four children, Michael, Martha, Sharon and Marianne; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In the late 1970’s the family moved to Salem, where they now reside.
Irene was an active and longtime member of the Willamette Humane Society as a volunteer worker. Irene also enjoyed her activities with the Clatsop County Historical Society and her membership in the Oregon-Cascade Airborne Association. Her most enjoyable recent experiences surrounded her activities with the members of “E” Company, 506 P.I.R. Association, 101st Airborne. She traveled extensively with the “Band of Brothers” to Europe and various parts of North America.
We cherish the beautiful moments we had with Irene during the Band of Brothers reunions.
