During the last days of the reunion the group stayed in Eindhoven, a town liberated by the 101st Airborne Division on September 18, 1944.
We visited the museum Liberating Wings at Best, the drop zones in Son but also non WWII related spots like the little village of Oirschot, about 6 miles North-West of Eindhoven

In Oirschot Easy Company was welcomed by the Mayor Speetjes. In the restaurant where they had lunch he gave them a special commemoration coin. On one side the city-arms and on the other side a commemoration of a famous painter from Oirschot:
Jan Kruysen who lived from 1874-1938.(one of his paintings below)

In Oirschot the Church of Saint Peter (above left) was opened especially for the veterans so they could have a look inside. The wood carved pulpit (see detail above right) caught the special attention of the visitors.

Enjoying the time on one of the sidewalk cafe's around the market square. The white building on the background is the restaurant where we had lunch.
Above right: waiting for the bus on the market square in Oirschot. We had fun!
