During the stay in La Roche en Ardenne we visited some places that are important for Easy Company like the Bois Jacques, the Peacewoods and the Mardasson Monument.
Don Malarkey explains to Eilene O'Hara (niece of Skip Muck) how it was during the terrible weeks in December 1944. Skip Muck and Alex Penkala were killed instantly when they received a direct hit on their foxhole.

After Don Malarkey had told something in his own emotional way, Frank Perconte always managed to relativize by some amusing comment.(r)

The Jeeps were of good help in bringing the veterans into the difficult terrain of the woods.
