In Bastogne a visit to a school was programmed. Four veterans, Shifty Powers, EarL Mc. Lung, Herb Suerth and Buck Taylor would pay a visit to the school for a one hour history class.

During the introduction by the school director the children were very disciplined lined up in front of the 4 veterans.
The children were divided in four groups and with the help of an interpreter they could ask questions for one hour. Not one moment of silence was there and they all stayed very alert. See photos below.

 
These children had received the message. A new generation to pass it on.
