After the Emmy Awards presentation (in october 2002) the Easy Company veterans had the opportunity to attend a party with Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg at Spago's in Los Angeles. The Band of Brothers, together with Tom Hanks and some of the actors, are posing very proud with the Emmy Award.

Roy, together with my wife in our garden. For some one who lives in the hot Las Vegas dessert it was a refreshing experience to sit in the middle of fresh looking green next to the pond.

We very much enjoyed his company.

Roy passed away op January 2, 2008. The urn with his remains is burried on Arlington National Cemetery.

His son send me the photos below. According to him it was a nice ceremony.

The back row: the first three men are 101st airborne representatives ( the second person is Dick Winters), the next is Wayne Sinibaldi who flew in from Texas, the last one is the computer specialist from the home were Roy stayed during his last weeks.

first row seated: closest are Roy Jr. and his wife, the next is Roy Sr.'s girlfriend Leigh, the next two people work with Leigh and knew Roy.

The honor guard and Minister Goodlow, the chaplain at the home. Everyone was surprised to see the Air Force honor guard. According to Roy Jr. his father retired from the Air Force, which he joined shortly after the Air Force became a separate part of the military.
